The impressive Ashton Court mansion house is surrounded by 850 acres of mixed woodland and a deer park, which has been in existence for over 600 years! This is something which can be truly appreciated gradually from a hot air balloon. This carefully selected site guarantees awe-inspiring views no matter which direction you drift.
Within a matter of seconds after taking off from the picturesque scenery of the historic estate, you will be quite literally blown away by the views surrounding you.
These could include The Clifton Suspension Bridge, which is the symbol of the city of Bristol, spanning the beautiful Avon Gorge and from a hot air balloon, can be appreciated from a completely new angle. Brunel’s Clifton Suspension Bridge, a grade I listed structure, which has attracted worldwide visitors for almost 150 years.

Please Note: Times shown on availability calendar are for booking purposes only. Balloon flights usually take place within two hours of dawn and around two hours before dusk, as this is when the thermals are most stable. Actual departure time will be noted on your E-ticket.

There is a $6.95 USD processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order. There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown at checkout includes any fuel surcharges, service charges and tax. There are no additional charges, unless otherwise specified.
Tour / Activity Policies
Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.
Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

As you fly over the historic Bristol Docks, you may also see Brunel’s equally impressive SS Great Britain, the world's most exciting and accessible historic ship. The SS Great Britain was launched in 1843 to provide luxury travel to New York and has safely rested in its Bristol home since 1970. Alongside, when not sailing, the Matthew is moored up - a replica of John Cabot’s famous ship and its journey to Newfoundland 500 years ago. You also may glimpse the Wills Memorial Building of the University of Bristol, situated at the top of Park Street - one of the last Gothic buildings in England.
The wind could take your flight in any direction, but you can rest assured in the knowledge that a launch from any of the specially selected sites, you are guaranteed breathtaking scenery and an album full of magical memories. Each balloon flight is unique and the landing site is carefully decided by your pilot during the flight.
Restrictions
- Only children over the age of 7 years and whose height exceeds 4'6" may fly.
- A child under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Passengers must not fly if they are suffering from any significant medical condition or have recently undergone surgery. A doctor's certificate may be required.
- Passengers must not fly if they are pregnant.
- Passengers must not fly if they are under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
- In the interests of safety and operational requirements - passengers whose declared weight exceeds 250 lbs cannot fly.
- Smoking is not permitted within 50 meters (164 ft) of any part of the balloon or on board.
